The full line up of this amazing band was : HAROLD RANDOLPH (KAZOO) / DEREK NEVILLE (ALTO SAX) / ARTHUR BROOKS (PIANO)/ JEROME DARR (GUITAR) / LEN HARRISON (SPOONS) / BRUCE JOHNSON (WASHBOARD). I hope this helps everybody who have been asking who's in the band.

LEN HARRISON played double bass. He was British and was added to the group when they played the London Palladium in July 1935. He recorded with them in the UK, The Sheik of Araby. He is not on this film clip. Len later played bass with the Chas McDevitt Skiffle Group and although he was not on their hit recording of Freight Train, he played on their top twenty record of Green back Dollar and subsequent recordings. He had a colourful career also playing with Django Reinhardt and Benny Carter.
Blinky randolph and the washboard serenders! Duke ellington recorded a side with them called 'goin nuts' in 27 and it's still rocking dancefloors now! lovely to see this clip, not sure what film but what virtuosity and effortless playing. i've got 78's with that glass muted kazoo effect and until now , i've tried in vain to emulate it with just my hand and it never sounded good at all, until now! thank you for posting this!
Killer performance! And yes, a glass mute is old-school kazoo, with very different sound than hand muting.
I think the pianist might be Clarence "Pinetop" Smith.
Anybody know what movie this is from?

Yes, really good! Can you, please, add "ochi chernye" and "очи черные" (Russian - just copypaste) into tags? That'll make it easier to find. Also, it seems to be a scene from a film, do you know the title? imdb comes up with 2 films with this band, but neither one quite fits.
