Actually, the dog seems to be suffering most from cataplexy, which often coexists with but is not the same as narcolepsy (the two are often confused).

give him the same drug that human use for this disease..of course adjust the dose.
Weight the dog..and adminster the drugs based on his wweight. Human are given speed..the treatment for human with narcolepsy is."speed"
Inphetamines...spelling error here...give the dog the same drug human use for this narcolepsy
The fact that he falls asleep when he's EXCITED is the worst part! :-( I mean, dogs get excited over pretty much everything, don't they?
And it looks painful when his head hits the floor. You can almost hear his noggin' cracking against the tile :-(
