I tried that among other programmes but the only thing that works for me is doing 1, maximum 2 sets, 8-12 reps for upper body and 12-15 for lower body; compound exercises like squat,bench press, pull-ups etc only; Whole workout consists of 12 sets and I get more tired than I used to when I did 30 sets workouts following silly Weider system. I need 2 weeks to restore usually so I have 14 dys gap in between two workouts and it is filled with cardio, pilades, etc.

naNOVapor12, you are completly wrong, the 5x5 is ment to build strength not mass, for mass you need to do 70-85% of your max at 6-8 reps. The best way to build bulk is 2 setets of 10 for warm up then 3 differnt workouts on each muscle 4 sets of 8 IE chest 2 sets warm up then flat bench 4x8 flys 4x8 and incline 4x8 do that once a week on every muscle group while takin in high protien to maximise muscle mass gain.

14 is too young, but if you are already satisfied with your hight, you might as well do it. If you workout too much when you are young your natural growth won't go too well.
