You've got to respect corporations like Toyota for sponsoring such technologies. Of course, it is in their interests to invest in alternative sources of energy a la hybrid, piezoelectricity, solar and others.

They figure 5 to 10 watts generated per person. This kind of tech should be used in huge train stations like Penn and Grand Central that get hundreds of thousands of people every day.

Cost is nothing. It's a manmade value. They print more money everyday. Overall benefit nulls cost.
