Yes, the two are not exclusive, but if you understood Glenn Gould, you would realize that he was socially adept,sensitive and accommodating to others.
Watch Russian Journey on youtube in six parts, and you will see that others in the performing community viewed him as a very special person.
He was a friend to all, self confident, artistic, and extremely creative. He carried on frequent conversations with others from all walks of life.- Hardly the definition of a "nerd" He was the best.
