I think "glacier" said later it did hurt. Most people who bash Goldberg say he was not trained properly before arriving on the scene.
Sure, he hadn't been around for years like Sting, Flair or Shawn Michaels, but it wasn't that he wasn't trained. It's that he really went in and hurt his opponents. People really did fear him.Bret Hart asked him not to hurt him before they fought.And he did.See the interview here on youtube with Hart. Goldberg was given this character because of who he really is.
