The supposed "excommunication" affected only the two consecratory Bishops and the four men elevated to the Episcopate. But putting all of that aside, excommunication does not render the sacraments of a validly ordained Bishop or Priest "invalid." It may make them illicit, but not invalid. Something has gone terribly wrong, when these men are the "rebels" and "dissenters." The "smoke of satan" indeed (Paul VI's words, not my own.)

This depiction of the pre Vatican 2 mass is very nostalgic. Praise the living God for shedding His Blood for everyone.

I'm not an SSPX member, but I think it should be made clear that the reason for the SSPX, CMRI, SSPV and all the independent traditional Priests and Bishops doing what they are doing is not for nostalgia, it is strictly to maintain the true faith which the novus ordo mass and post conciliar church has destroyed.

The Novus Ordo Mass and the "Post Conciliar Church" cannot destroy the tradition, they ARE the tradition. A Council's job is to tell you and me about the tradition, and it is a Pope's job to be the head of the Church, even in jurisdiction over the liturgy.
Hence the Council and the Roman Mass of 1970 ARE the tradition.
