they do use drugs. both have admitted it. vanwyngarden took his first pcp trip when he was sixteen and he's talked about smoking pot with his parents. though they have said that they have never been under the influence of drugs when they write music. so, if any of their music is influenced by drugs, it's by what they've previously experienced while doing drugs.
