Upon the arrival of Pau Gasol to the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant has gone through a slight trasitional period. Before Gasol's arrival, Bryant was confident, yet still doubt remained in him whether or not he can keep his Lakers afloat, and in elite status. As young rising star center Andrew Bynum is out of the linup, and will remain out for a while longer. After the arrival of Gasol however, a change in Bryant has surfaced. His play and demeaner has drastically changed, for the better, and is the happiest he's ever been.
Indeed, Bryant sees something special with his team. After tearing a ligament in his right pinkie finger, and requires surgery to completely heal, he has chosen to overcome the pain, and stay with his Lakers, to the end of this journey.
One of the biggest trades in Lakers history has clearly REJUVENATED Bryant (Who was named Western Conference Player of the Month for the month of Februrary, and led the lakers to a successful 7-2 roadtrip). Which has bode well for the Lakers, but not so much, for other teams..
