at 0:10, it's not saying 2=1; the second last step is 2(a-x)=a-x, and a=x, so a-x=0
so all the second last step is saying is
2(0)=0 and you cant simplify that to 2=1

This is great! I'm a math teacher and love the humor in these problems!

1:09 you cant find the limit as the function approaches 8 because it is impossible to =8, you could find the derivative as it approaches 8 from the left and right however ,
same for the one next to it
1:34 LOL! i never loooked at it as saying SEX, i see it all the time in my text book

0:12 first one in a real problem its pointless to make one variable equal to another and keep them separated thought the problem,
you should change a's to x or x's to a's.
and it will yield the correct answer
0:49 you cant take 2 out, as its only part of the denominator
if it were 2x/(2x+2)
you could simplify it to 2x/2(x+1)
and cross out the 2
0:53 lmao hahahah
sonny102(Tuesday 2nd of December 2008 04:56:20 PM)
that one doesn't work because if a = x a - x = 0 and you can't divide by 0 =P
FreebieMaster1(Tuesday 2nd of December 2008 06:49:48 PM)
o.0
sonny102(Tuesday 2nd of December 2008 08:06:18 PM)
lol xP I mean that if (a = x), than (a - x = 0). Dividing by (a - x) is the same as dividing by 0, which is something that you just can't do.
It's like if I said ..
5(0) = 3(0) divide both sides by 0
5 = 3
