Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata I (Yamaha P-70)

Back

Beethoven's Op. 27 No. 2 Moonlight Sonata 1st movement - Adagio sostenuto played on a Yamaha P-70. The first song that I learnt so far. Completed in 3 months (after started self teaching piano for 4 months). Comparing to a Casio Privia PX-110, the Yamaha sounds much better and the key action feels slightly lighter. Since it's lighter, the sound of the keys "clomping" is way less noisier than in the Privia. This is my oldest interpretation of this song and it's raw yet. You play really well! The p70 has a perfect sound, it is funny that you started with moonlight sonata, its not hard, but its not easy. I also have a P70, it has a perfect sound. And the Strings are very good also.

what about the korg sp250? I heard that's better than the p85

Nice piano dude, and my favorite piano sonata too. I was gonna get the p70 for my birthday, which is in a few days, but I'm getting the P85 instead. The p85 has a metronome, 64 note polyphony max, and it can record a track, thats why I chose it instead. Keep playing. 5/5 that was kick ass

Thanks! Go for the P85, it's a wise choice.

I bought a casio privia px320. Is that a bad choice?

Probably not, since at least it's not the cheapest from Casio... What do you think, is it good?

Yes, if I had to pick either one, I would stick with Yamaha, the sound quality is MUCH better. Check the new P-85 (which is the improvement of P-70) or try to find a P-70 which must be cheaper now.
