Sounds like a stress fracture BLOODxSWEATxTEARS , I get the same thing. It is to the point that I can not use a weight for preacher curls that actually works me out in 8 reps. I have to use a weight for 15 reps. The important thing is to not push when you feel that pain. I used to switch to hammer curls using a "tricep bar" on days i do preacher curls first, then I use the cambered bar to finish up. It heals itself but the pain gets worse every time you lift if you just ignore it.

Im not sure if i ha dthe same prblem as you but i used to get a pain on the top side of my forearm. It felt as if my bone in my arm was bruised. I just lowered the ammount of wait i was curling and the pain went away within 2 weeks. Hope i helped.
light weights good form....although you wont impress the ladies you could do more reps, do less damage to your muscles, and youll get more muscle than if you were using big weights and bad form.
I have a question for everyone.
I've been lifting for a while and sometimes when i do freeweights for biceps for example, i get a shooting pain that kills my forearms and it hurts alot. does anyone know why this happens. Btw I dont swing the weights and shit its just is a sharp pain.
either u dont stretch, ur not eating right, or ur just not giving your body enough time to rest.

I used to get that when I did dumbbell curls, I switched to an EZ bar & the pain went away, It might not be the same problem though, the pain I used to get would intensify as I let go of the dumbells.
darkscent83,
yea thats exactly what happens. when i let go of the dumbbell, the pain shoots up my forearms. what exactly did you do to get rid of it. Thanx!
literally all I did was switch from dumbbells to an EZ bar, I went with an light weight for a few weeks doing about 12 reps a set & that sorted it in roughly 4 weeks, dont increase the weight though until the pain's well & truly gone, by the way I am an amateur, so I would also get some advice of someone who knows what they're talking about lol, hope that helps.
