Do, Step by Step:
1. Go to: http://www.youtube.com and choose a video. Copy the video URL adress.
2. Go to: http://www.savevid.com and paste Video URL that you had chosen. And click download. And Don't forget: on the saving window You must change video name as "video001.avi". It is important to put ".avi" at the end of video name.
3. Go to: http://www.effectmatrix.com/total-video-converter and click to download Video Converter exe. And Install the program.

4. Put the converted video into "My YouTube Videos" and delete the other video that you downloaded from savevid.com And now you can start to watch videos with Windows Media Player.
Also you can convert videos to audio files (mp3) just for good quality music clips.

seems like a lot of trouble to download just one video.
I use the software realplayer, its free to download, just google it. works with windows or mac.
once you download it, open it, go to windows and open up the realplayer downloader, and go to preferences and click on both options, "add realplayer downloader agent to login items" and "enable advanced video detection".
once you do that, you're just one click away from downloading almost any video you watch on the net, as you watch it!
