The roots of all this is Star. Best brass technique I've ever known to create such beautiful sounds. Can't wait for finals week in 2010 baby. They'll take the field one more time.

as a musician I listen to all the little parts and I have to say, even though there's alot of instruments, you all sound as 1. The solo trumpet tone was very good and when the harmony/backround came in it was awesome. The french horn part is awesome. And nice cresendo at 2:16. Good Work :D

I'm from Bloomington Indiana, where Star of Indiana is based. I attended the final performance of this piece by Mr Harloff, and shook his hand after the performance. he received many accolades that night; a Plaque, roses, etc., but was so humble, so down-right nice when we talked in the theater's lobby! I was quite inpressed by all the talented people involved in this wonderful concept.
The Touring companys are down-sized somewhat, so the impact isn't the same. The musicianship still shines.

Star of Indiana... does that mean you have heard Jupiter being played? I happen to be playing a chorale from it in marching band.
