Bad choice of words on my part. Thanks for catching it. Discovery depends on advertisers, many of whom use rfid for their own store security, and they would not want Mythbusters revealing how to defeat their security systems. Card companies in turn depend on the stores for their income, hence their concern. What I meant was that the issue was deeper than described.

thats the FIRST bit of info they have on you, tyour name and birth town, then the school you get enrolled into, sends the info to the gov, pretty soon youve got compasnys billing you, while sending your info to the gov, etc. They have more info on you than you think!
