LDS Stake Growth 1830-2004
I got this video in one of those infamous email forwards. I posted it on youtube mainly because I wanted to post and comment on it in my blog. I am an active LDS, but frankly I found the video a little cheesy. (I would have used a different version of the song.)
Anyway, I have greatly enjoyed the positive and negative comments to the video.

Yea, but you don't believe the same principles as other Chrisians. Not a bad thing! You believe that god, became god, and the all his children can do the same.
The Bible teaches that god is and always was.
The Book of mormon says that god created the earth from prexisting elements.
The Bible says god created the Earth from nothing.
There are differences. I'm the third party here, I grew up in a muslim home. I have studied many religions. I'm not flaming the LDS church or teachings
In April of 2006 the Mormon Church declared "This book was not a record of myth or an ancient history test or anything other than the true word of God." (Ensign, Apr 2006, p68) showing the LDS Corporation no longer views the Book Of Mormon as ancient text or history.
actually, the church does view the text as ancient. i don't recall that statement, but if they did say that then they meant that it wasn't a mere history book (which is it). it's a history book and a book of holy doctrine. the lds church has never denounced the book of mormon and it never will.
's funny in a sad way but if you look at Mormon Art, It shows Mayan temples because they have never found any existences of The Nephites or Lamonites Temples, so they use the Mayan temples for their story's. Mayan temples have nothing to do with LDS in anyway what so ever.
You would think the LDS people would question that fact.

And from such humble beginnings... You can see it really started to take off and grow after WWII about the start of the baby boom just as David O. McKay became the Prophet.
