A solely union between the USA (300 million people) and Canada (40 million people) wouldnt make any difference for the American economy. The importance of Canada relies exclusively in oil, gas, and water resources. On the other hand, Mexico (110 million people), is more complicated. It is true, Mexico is poorer than the USA; but at the same time, Mexico is the 11th wealthiest country in the world. There is more money in Mexico than in Australia and many European countries all-together.
If Mexico, stays out of NAU, then Mexico will end up in the Latin American Union; and if that happens, the Latin American Union (Brazil and Mexico) would be wealthier than the North American Union (USA and Canada) and the Latin American Union would have a far more intresting investing profile than a USA-Canada, because it would involve more than 500 million consumers, a much bigger territory, and more interaction with Asia, Rusia and Europe than a USA-Canada.
hey guys vote for Pedro" my friend Napoleon Dynamite said so. if the 3 of us NAU unyfy we can top the euro easyly. we got lots of natural resources... we just gotta secure the guatemala and belize borders.

there is already an NAU type entity for Weather Modification:
The North American Interstate Weather Modification Council accepts full membership from Mexico, all provinces of Canada, and the UNITED STATES.

the NAU is much more present than media tells you.. you just have to research and cross reference data for yourselves..
