Not too much for me but I've heard a lot of people say that. Pretty much personal choice. But at the same time this guitar gets all sorts of tones. Not just the Classic Twangy sound like your talkin about. I used my Tele for a few rock songs one time.

Nice I'll be putting together my special Warmoth 52 custom tele. I can't wait to get a tele my will be for the 1950's rockabilly sound.

I think it's neat that of all the guitars he's had & played that he's still fond of Telecasters... actually I have a clip of GE playing some finger pickin' blues on the street in Tokyo Japan in '84 (during Hall & Oates Rock N soul tour) and he was using a creamy blonde Tele... the people on the street loved it and that must've been a treat! wonder if he ever does that in NY.....

Lookup Strat Vs Langcaster...Now guys we all know what a strat sounds like. The twang, the chuck, the honk, the quack all the great sounds. So we have a guy that I consider to have a video that is trying to sell his guitars by macking Strats sound their worst. Tell me if I am off base...comment on the video and let them know as Strat players if the "Thanks Mr. Fender" and strange EQ makes you want to buy one of their guitars. If so say it, if not...say it.

i hate the fender twang, this telecaster has that pop sound in the attack of it. hate it.

obviously a humbucker fan.. but why waste your time here complaining about it... go where your fave musician is using a guitar YOU like cause it's dumb.personally i like the Telecaster above any guitar for tone, however i think certain electric guitars sound good in their own way. but i like Teles cause you can dig in to them and beat the crap out of em and they still work, among other things.

14:56 - 15:00 LOL!

exactly! however If you see him live or especially when he's playing with Rock bands like Hall & Oates, Dylan, Bowie his playing does get into that kind of intensity this side of Hendrix! He used to do solo spots w/ H&O during sweet soul music, etc and he'd blow u away man! also he throws his Tele WAY up in the air and catches it! he broke a few like that but hey i'm sure they doubled his gig money for it cause that's great stuff. GE the best there IS WAS and EVER will BE!
