Forced to give up his dreams of art school, Zach spends his days working a dead-end job and helping his needy sister care for her son. In his free time he surfs, draws and hangs out with his best friend, Gabe, who lives on the wealthy side of town. When Gabe's older brother, Shaun, returns home, he is drawn to Zach's selflessness and talent. Zach falls in love with Shaun while struggling to reconcile his own desires with the needs of his family.
"Shelter" is the most celebrated gay film this film festival season. It is being heralded by critics everywhere as the next landmark film in gay cinema.

this movie is so real, it's not enough just watching it for two or three times, i regularly watch it at least once every week like it was a recurring series, lol. Whenever i see overly stereotyped gay lifestyle depicted in the media which people tend to generalize in real life, shelter always pops into my mind and alarms me that gay men are just like everybody else, while i'm a sociology student i should have more systematic thinking, not referring my thought to movies, haha

I really like this movie through its originality and the situations that gives more meaning to the real life and a real situations. I consider this as my top favorite movie....this 2 guys really did a good job on it and its makes me fall inlove while watching this movie... something like i was dreaming for making it real in my life.. its awsome!!!

I loved this story shawn is just fucking incredably hot he almost looks like brad pitt O_O who is very hot as well haha
But yeah even for straight people I'd recomend this movie to them this movie is incredable.

Loved the movie soo much! Latter days was a sappy love story and Shelter has a harsh reality perspective on love, but still mantains the Happily Ever After!
