You must not have been praying lately! especially for someone you love. When i thought i loved this guy, i did Pray/ say little prayers for him! and for US. You are gunna need someone to Say a Little Prayer for you one day when you get sick or get weary.. remember that hun!
Back in the days half the singers did not pronounce the words right. lol! that does not take away from the song. Mahaliah Jackson said 75% of her words wrong... she was from Louisiana!!! lol! pray, prayer.... it was a hit! pray on that! or say a prayer for that! have it your way! lol!

I say a little prayer for you? This is what the song would say, she does not pronounce it loudly, but the proper use of the word would be "prayer", which is how any English speaker would interpret it. Was this your question?
