I'm just saying you need some respect for most of the bands out there. Even Slipknot, who worked hard to get to the mainstream... (not that it is a good thing to be there)

I agree. Slipknot just can't compare to At the Gates. At the Gates did so much for the melodic death metal genre. I'm sorry I couldn't see them on their final tour. I really wanted to hear this live.
I suggest you don't talk shit but go read the lyrics to some songs. Actually pretty much meaning.

slipknot are a madonna tribute band trying to make an honest living and I dont know why everyone is so jealous of them maybe if you metalheads went out and got jobs youd understand what it was like to have some sense of responsibility.

Yeah, people are like "stop being so fucking genre freak man", but you have to specify genres here. Death metal can be everything from the melodic kind here to people using chainsaws on instruments sounding stuff. I like the melodic kind, not the rest, so I speak it :P
