Robert Loggia also played another cat, for Disney in the late 50's. He played El Gato, the cat, El Faga El Baca(sorry for mispelling of the name)he was an actual legendary Mexican sheriff who was said to have nine lives and couldn't be killed by his enemies. It was a very popular limited run mini series at the time when I was a kid. I believe it was broadcast after Guy Williams Zorro became a big fad and Disney was hot to produce another hispanic western hero.

And after the fact, Robbie L. still had a sweet mustache. So I ask again, when was he not kicking ass?
And Tony didn't kill him, all he did was say "choot this piece a chit meng."
this preceeded the Man From Uncle on the night is was shown if my memory serves correctly. al hirt had the theme on one of his albums.. sadly the show died in the ratings.

Yes! I just bought this episode from a collector. This scene is taken from my favorite episode that I mentioned five months ago. T.H.E. Cat was beated up by gangsters sent by mob boss (played by Warren Stevens) to warn him to leave Timmy, the night club comedien (not singer) alone. I haven't seen this episode since 1971(syndicated rerun), and it's great! The great theme song was done by MEDICAL CENTER and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE artist Lalo Schiffrin.
