i don't kw why everyone is so hard on this film, or ben afflek. It was a pretty decent movie in my opinion, i don't think anyone who has seen it can truthfully say they didn't cry at one point or another! it was very moving.

There is a slight difference, when that happened, America was NOT at war, so no-one saw that comming even if a few did suspect that Japan was up to something. The British bombings although obviously higher in number, where less deadly, if the ammount of people that died in the Pearl Harbour attack in one single blow where to die on every single bombing that the natzis threw at the british, the entire british population would have been wiped out before the actual war was over.

this was a good film but what no-one understands is that this happend everyday in britain
One of the most important days in American history...indeed world history. Unfortunately, the film does not do justice to the events of that day. Moreover, it is the misguided attempt to portray Pearl Harbor as a "love story" rather than what it truly was...a day of valor that transforms this film from potentially a landmark in motion picture history and transforms it into just another disappointing pop culture film.
