there are many examples of social togetherness we can take from this particular story. black and white getting along together in difficult times? we need to bring back this frame of mind, maybe showing us stories like this,sensetive and relevent to peoples lives could be a great start in healing some social wounds, but NO! they give us stupid strictly come dancing! no wonder the world has gone mad. x factor has our young people thinking they can ALL? release gold selling albums. WE'RE DOOMED!

Yeah solid lots of laughs...you know with the UK (and the whole flippin world)facing a recession i think one of channels( maybe ITV)should start airing this brilliant show!

I got the series from ebay a year or so ago. It was sooooo good watching it again. I was about 14 when it ran and now I keep going on at people about shows I used to like yet no-one ever remembers this one (another example - Tales of the Gold Monkey! remember that?)! They missed out! Classic show :oD

I do mate superb series I was there when it run in the eighties I was 15 at time ( born 1970) Love this series I to have it on DVD people dont know what they missed!

You're wrong. I know what I've missed. I've been missing for a good 20 years. Could never get over how good the theme song was to the show. Liked it alot. I'll start looking for it on DVD but something tells me I'm in for one huge disappointment.
