Hyde Park july 3rd 1971:the Pie were supposed to open for Grand Funk ....in fact they STOLE the show delivering one of the heaviest set I 've ever heard !!!my ears are still bleeding ....Steve WAS the man ....full of rage and raw energy !!!Afterwads when Grand Funk hit the stage ....they just sounded and looked like ....a Folk Band !!!!!! Nobody played heavier than the PIE ....Not to be forgotten........Rock On !!!richie
