The radical news organizations (NBC & CBS News ;-) investigate and find that kids, including toddlers (!) are being given powerful psychotropic drugs in order to manage their behavior. Instead of providing human care, we are drugging these children because it is cheaper (in the short term, but not the long term) and because it is very lucrative for the pharmaceutical companies.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! There are NATURAL alternatives to these meds! My husband and I are foster parents and believe ALL meds are WAY overused and abused. Most of these kids need a lot of love and therapy to help them deal with grief and loss. They DON'T need all these stupid drugs with TERRIBLE side effects!

NOT ALL foster homes are like this!!! I am a foster mom and when we got our 8 year old she was on all kinds of ridiculous meds. We took her off and now she has NO behavior problems at home or school! She was in the same foster home for two and a half years before coming here. Not a great foster home. We're in the process of adopting her now and she is a fantastic kiddo. She is absolutely precious to us. KNOW that the MAJORITY of fosterhomes truly love kids. There are unfortunately bad ones, too.
That's capitalsim in it's purest form-Do whatever is cheap for you,and make some money at the same time.They don't care for children.They are only interested in their wallets.
