I am very impressed with Green Day, I've always found their music to be refreshingly intelligent and well-written. I thing John Lennon would approve of their cover. It's kinda creepy actually how much Billy does sound like John in this version.

What the hell do the lyrics have to do with Darfur? They are talking about the working class in the USA (a very privileged group). They sing about how life sucks for the working class... yet they juxtapose these lyrics with REAL problems such as Darfur. WTF Green Day? This doesn't even make sense. I wish they would just play punk rock again.

The song's lyrics are easily collaborate to the events in Danfur, but regardless, it's because the album itself was an effort to help the people in Danfur, Green Day put the majority of the money they made to organizations that help in Danfur. I admit, I was skiptical when I heard Green Day was doing a cover ALBUM...but when I found out why, it all made sense. I have a great respect for this album. Also, this song was great originally, and this is an amazing cover.

I totally agree zaclove06. We need, we HAVE to do something about this as well as other important issues. It is our obligation as fellow human beings.
