It costs a great deal more to use natural substances necessary to replenish and support organic soil than it does to buy bags of inexpensive chemical fertilizers. Also, supply and demand still rules and there are small farms that can't operate as efficiently as large farms.
Since I was generally relaying facts on this video, and giving very few, if any opinions, I have no idea what this person meant when he said "not necessarily true", otherwise he is just mentioning the benefits of a good compost with which I completely agree. David Getoff
Excellent ex. of the diff. between science & nonsense. If a straw house survives a hurricane, this DOES NOT mean we should build straw houses in hurricane areas. Science can NEVER validate anything based on one person. It's a testament to the ability of the body to manage on suboptimal nutrition that he's doing well. Science shows that his body will not last as long on a vegan diet. I've treated many unhealthy vegans who's health improved adding animal fats/proteins. David Getoff, CCN, CTN
Pasteurization DESTROYS health benefits of raw milk from grass fed cows, is not a natural process but human intervention. Soil teams with living fungi/bacteria to break down substances to go back to earth. Your body teams with LIVE bacteria & fungi, if you kill them all, you die. Bacteria & fungi are an imp. and balance nature. The most productive farmland is soil that's rich in bacteria & fungi that breaks everything down into forms that become available to plants as their food. David Getoff
How sad with amt. of published research on cancer causing, neurologically destructive effects of agricultural chemicals to have an intelligent person put down organic foods. The research mentioned is from people saying genetically modified foods are healthy. Read Seeds of Deception & see this is a lie. Is Mother Nature a fool and humans know more than nature? Populations who remain on traditions diets as studied by Dr. Weston Price have exceptional health. David Getoff, CCN, CTN
I support the research on this, and continued efforts to make our foodproduction better. But it's way to early and we have to little uderstanding on this to start practising it on a large scale.
Missunderstanding practis of ecology and biology has the probability to end up in a similar way as when communist china killed all the birds to stop them from eating their harvest. Leaving the insects no ennemies to stop them from eating it all up, causing starvation and deaths for millions of people.
